During his 30 years of active trial practice, Mr. Meisinger focused on complex corporate, business and entertainment industry matters and class and derivative action lawsuits. As a former General Counsel for a Fortune 100 corporation, he brings a unique perspective of the factors and timing which influence corporate parties to settle pending or threatened legal disputes. His practice has included representation of clients involved in disputes concerning copyright, trade secrets, idea submission, intellectual property, unfair competition, publicity and privacy, environmental pollution, securities laws and regulations and a wide variety of contract and business disputes including real estate finance, mergers, acquisitions and freeze-out transactions.

Legal Activities and Community Affairs

As amicus curiae, Mr. Meisinger has written a number of entertainment industry briefs, such as the Buchwald v. Paramount matter on behalf of the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers. He has also authored and published numerous articles dealing with the changing laws and trends which affect the entertainment industry and is a frequent lecturer on business law topics, including issues pertaining to the protection of intellectual property, motion picture and television accounting practices and the recently passed Sarbanes Oxley Act. Mr. Meisinger was the 1999 recipient of the Beverly Hills Bar Association's Entertainment Lawyer of the Year Award and the Constitutional Rights Foundation, Bill of Rights Award in 2001.
