Thirteen years as appellate justice reviewing a variety of complex civil trials including insurance coverage, bad faith, premises liability, wrongful termination, class action torts and commercial disputes; 9 years as superior court judge presiding over complex civil and criminal jury and non-jury trials; and 11 years as both trial attorney and legislative advocate.
Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Successfully mediated major disputes involving real estate, multi-million dollar class action attorney fees, wrongful death, environmental pollution toxic torts, high profile probate, personal injury premises liability and contracts. Arbitration experience includes disputes involving insurance coverage, medical malpractice and false representation.
