A practicing litigator for over 35 years, Mr. Friedman was trained at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law, and has mediated or served as arbitrator in cases involving insurance coverage and bad faith, business disputes, securities litigation, consumer class actions, real estate and legal malpractice.

Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith
Mr. Friedman has litigated, mediated, or arbitrated insurance, reinsurance, and insurance regulatory disputes involving such policies as: Auto, Homeowners, Commercial General Liability, Legal Malpractice, Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Medical Malpractice, Title, Health, Disability, Intellectual Property, Fidelity & Surety, and Motion Picture Completion Bonds. In 1996, Mr. Friedman had one of the top 10 jury verdicts of the year. He obtained a $10 million verdict, including $5 million in punitive damages, against a property insurer arising out of its refusal to pay a Northridge Earthquake claim.
